Dear Betty,
It needs a vision to pull community programs like Boston Chinese Radio off 14 years ago. I believe your strong "mind and
muscle" in running the show have definitely left behind a legacy within our hearts that will last for a lifetime.
I can't say enough thanks to you all especially to Betty, Cindy, Annie and Allen for your talents, long time dedication to
the program, and sharing your experience with me. Without all of you, BCR would not be there for us to learn about radio
broadcasting. It has been an amazing and fruitful journey for me. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to work with you
all and to serve the community. I will miss all of you and I hope that we will have the chance to work together again soon. |

I have a great time and a lot of memories in there ....
I am sure I will miss all the friends and fun. "BCR" one of the best Chinese program
with local touch for the people around Boston area. "Talk of the town" is the one I like the best. Proud to be part of the
team.
For the listener:

Betty, I am not very good at express any feelings in writing. But just thought I should write a note to tell you how much
I enjoyed your show. I had a pleasant time listening to BCR more than any other broadcasts. It feels so natural on the air.
I still remember being your guest in the 'Talk of the town'. It was quite a life time experience for me. Your excellent mind,
fine work ethic, and integrity will serve you well throughout your life. It's hard to believe BCR program had discontinued
after fourteen years. However, there are things in life that are inevitable; we are powerless to control them. The sun will
rise and set, the tide will come in and go out, the seasons will change, the birds will fly south for the winter and return
in the spring. Somehow, we feel reassured by this because many other things in life are so transient - so momentary. I truly
believe that BCR will be back on the air again.

I cannot believe it is actually been fourteen years. I am sure it is certainly a very long time for Betty and the BCR team.
I have watched the BCR going through its infancy, growth to this very last day. I feel sad to witness this is happening.
However, knowing Betty and her devotion to the Boston Chinese community, I am optimistic she will continue to play this role
of an ambassador to serving between these two and among many other cultures. Betty, I want you to know there are a lot of
peoples supporting you either out loud or silently from behind. Please do not be discouraged and keep your inspiration up.
We have all our faith on you. |

Hello all,
Do you still remember me (us)? We are the "twins in Framingham". Very sad to know that you will be discontinuing the Boston
Chinese Radio program. Hope everyone is doing well over there. It was a pleasure meeting you all in Chinatown (August Moon
Festivals & Interviewing at the station a few years ago). I have reposted a message on the English guestbook. I also forwarded
your message to my sister. I think she will sign the guestbook as well. Thank you very much for all the good memories! I
remember having to record your show at night (8pm - 10 pm) and then listen to it before my sister and I went to sleep. We
couldn't get your radio station except for one little spot in the corner of the house. We had to record and listen later.
It was funny but it was very worth it. I remember dedicating songs every so often, and asking you to speak in English for
some of the dedications because my friends speak English. I will miss that always. Please say "hi" to everyone from BCR!

Hi All (specially Betty, Jan Ting Ting, and Allen)~
I am sorry to hear that the Boston Chinese Radio program will come to an end after all those years. I remember listening
to your show just right before your 8th year anniversary party. I was invited to that but could not go because of transportation
problem. We met you all at the August Moon Festival that year, and we sat at your table..haha..that was fun. I don't know
if you remember, Betty, that you helped me with my project 3-4 years ago when I was still in college. You helped me contact
Mr. Chungchi Che for an interview, it helped with the project. Thanks a lot!
Without Boston Chinese Radio, I don't think I would ever be on the air. It was fun and exciting to be in a studio recording
for a "commercial" for the show. When I heard my voice on the air, it was weird. I don't think i would be able to do that
else where.
Keep in touch and good luck with everything. Take care! |

Betty,it is a surprise and sorry to learn that the Boston Chinese Radio has closed. You must have a lot of memories and mixed
feelings!!! I do. It has been twenty years since I first knew you, before you started the BCR from scratch and single-handedly,
with great enthusiasm and naivety. You should be proud of what you have accomplished and of your outstanding service to the
Boston Chinese community. One thing I have to say, and hope you do not mind, is that you have not changed much. You are always
an idealistic perfectionist, forever chasing after your impossible dreams. I miss you and wish you best of luck in your future
endeavors. Steve. |

My English is not good. I hope you will understand me. You guys are wonderful. I remember when you are also on 890 on the
weekdays a few years ago, me and my wife always wonder how you do it. You don't have many commercials. You have good jingles.
I was surprise your program was so good when I first heard it. I called in to the station when you interviewed Hung Gum Bo!
Those days are gone. I think you should talk to radio stations in Hong Kong. Good Luck! |

Betty, thank you for you and your team's dedication to providing the radio broadcast to the southshore Quincy community for
such a long period of time. I hope that there is some way you and your team, and perhaps together with other people, can continue
to provide some kind of media broadcast for the benefit of the growing Chinese community in the area. It is really ironic
that the new programming at WJDA is now in Spanish, and yet there is no place for the Chinese or Asian media here. |
