I think this is a great idea. I lost my only daughter to stillbirth in 1993. I joined a group of parents that had lost their
children to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, and other things. I was a member for a few years until I moved away. I crochet

I understand how important your cause is. We lost our twin girls at 23wk4days and they passed away shortly after being delevered

I read about the wonderful thing you are doing in the north vernon paper. I too am the mother of a stillborn child. My son
was preterm at 20 weeks and we had to deliver him stillborn. His name is kenneth and i miss my son dearly, i have a few pictures
and a keepsake box from the hospital, that is all i have left of my child. being that he was so preterm i didnt get to see
his beautiful eyes or even the color of his hair. he was so small i held him in the palm of my hand. The hospital cut the
sleeve of a newborns outfit off for his clothing and someone was kind enough to knit him a hat which he was burried in. I
got to spend 12 hours with him while i was waiting to be released from columbus regional. They were wonderful there,letting
me hold him in my arms while i slept...to me and my husband he was still our newborn son breathing or not. I was blessed with
my son on april 27, 2007, i can still remember the way he felt as i held him in my hands. i am very interested in donating
yarn for a blanket in my sons name...every parent needs something to hold on to, something to comfort them. This is a great
thing that you are doing, you are helping parents remember their children, what a great gift!!!! |

Are you familiar with my book, Empty Arms? I hope you rec'd it from your hospital - that has been my goal for 27 years -
to have it given out to families RIGHT AWAY so they make really good decisions that will help them over time. Any help you

26 years ago I lost my son, stillborn. I was unmarried then, it was a 'blessing' in the eyes of many back then. He was named
by the staff at my request then nothing...........I love your concept and the compassion that these little souls are not forgotten
