Comments and Encouragement: Hannah B you are MISSED for being Mavericky [long before Sarah Palin] and for marching to the beat of your own drummer. Thank you for giving us quotes that live on like “Music is the Universal Language of Love” and That’s a Buzzkill”. The last one works great for pointing out if something or someone wasn’t FUN. That makes me chuckle. Our loss of you is immeasurable. Mama #2

Comments and Encouragement: Christmas dreams, thoughts, and gifts are all about remembering you. Your life is always entertwined with ours. We miss you so much, and I am so proud of you every day for being such a gift to us. On your 2nd Christmas, you pulled me to our kitchen door, looked up at the full moon, and said, "Look at the man up there!" (I chuckle! hey, we could have written a new Christmas carol with your profound thought!) I remember the night you sang carols at Foothills mall with Centennial choir. Your joy spilled over to us! Sing carols with the angels and heavenly choirs, Sweetheart. God is the one who will bring us back together again. Loving you with all my heart, Merry Christmas with Jesus! Grams S

Comments and Encouragement: Happy Birthday Rhianna - I've been thinking about you a lot the last few days, I still remember your birthday and all the fun times we had celebrating as kids. The best memory of your birthday that I remember is when we were in 8th grade, and your Mom and Grandma took us to see Hanson! We had so much fun. :o) You are still missed, but I know you are celebrating in a great place today.

Comments and Encouragement: I still think about all the good times everyday, though it was fewer then a lot of other people that knew Rhianna, they were still great moments. I will never forget the first time I met her and we ate at Noodles and Company with Lindsay and Erin. Lindsay made us all laugh so hard we couldn't even eat! I feel fortunate that I have a little girl now, Aleighanna. She also, in a way, reminds me of Rhianna everyday because although I found out I was pregnant in June of 07..I was already 2 months along. So right around this sad time 2 years ago, a life was also created and she gave me a way to be able to have another way to remember Rhianna. The 'A' on the end of her name, to make the end 'anna', instead of 'ann', was to honor her, a beautiful person who cared and brightened so many lives. Rhianna--Thank you for the fun times that we did have, miss you!! xx

Comments and Encouragement: Hannah B, Every day something pops into my mind that I want to tell you. Something funny about your mom, a crazy thing that Kenzie or Preston did that you would laugh out loud at and completely understand, or sometimes just a memory, an event spurs me… Today it was Country Music Countdown [you can LOL it's ok] and I know your mom and dad raised a rocker BUT you also like some country and SO it goes that on Saturday mornings Mama #2 wakes up slowly cup of coffee perched on pillows in bed and each weekend I dutifully watch the video list unravel from 20… to 15…. to 10 to this week’s #1 song and in so many ways so perfectly reminiscent of you – a shout out from Rascal Flatts that they could write and sing so remarkably and that echoed through my head full of thoughts of you and angst in my heart about missing you SO much. “Here comes goodbye, here comes the last time, the start of every tear we cry, here’s comes the pain, me wishing things had NEVER changed”. Missing you..... Christy

Comments and Encouragement: Rhianna, it doesn't seem like two years have passed. You are a special niece, caring sister, and loving daughter. You have brought so much joy, laughter, and delight to so many people. I am proud to call you family and I am looking forward to being reunited with you.

Comments and Encouragement: I can't believe it's already been 2 years. You are still missed so much by everyone, even those of us, like myself, who did not get to know you as well as I would have liked to. Spend the day remembering the good times we did get to have together though. Happy that I have those moments to remember and always cherish. This morning I wrote my sister a text telling her to make sure and dress my niece in something with butterflies on it today. After I wrote that I got to my babysitting job and the little girl there was dressed in a butterfly shirt. It made me smile and feel like Rhianna is letting us know that she's looking down on us. :) Also, yesterday at the park my sister said that my niece was following around another little girl that was wearing a pink butterfly shirt and kept giving her hugs.

Comments and Encouragement: It still hurts like it was yesterday. Knowing I will never find another best friend like you is so hard. Time helps but never heals. I still miss you with every beat of my heart. You blessed me in so many ways that I never got to tell you about. So many people were blessed by your life and it is important to celebrate that everyday.

Comments and Encouragement: Rhianna I seriously can't believe that 2 years have gone by. It still hard to believe it. I am still thinking that I am going to see you when I get home from school to tell you how my day was. I am going to miss you tremendously and I know that you are here with us everyday. I wish you could see me finish massage school I know you would have loved me continuing this kind of education. I will remember those many times when you would ask me to give you a massage and I will cherish thoughs forever. Rhianna you were not only a great sister, but you were a great best friend. you will always be in my heart for ever and I will see you again one day. I love you.

Comments and Encouragement: Hannah, Two years has seem like an eternity without you here. I still wake up under the impression that I will see you soon, only to realize I won’t. It's a heavy, but funny reminder that your personality is one never to be forgotten. Embedded in my mind for the rest of my life is your distinctive laugh and a smile that literally brightened a room. When our mothers’ get together, I can see the facial expressions and hear the remarks you would make. It’s the best reminder that you are still very much so alive in the persona you have left behind. I miss you more than words can describe, I imagine I could sit here for the rest of the night going on about you. I wish more then anything in this world you could be here for the speech I will be giving at my graduation, inspired by you. I know you will be though, maybe not physically but spiritually. The memories I keep of you are the ones of us sprawled out on beaches. I remember swinging at the park in Vail and thinking you were the coolest old kid I had ever met. I remember many days spent on the couch in the house watching old movies and making runs to Subway when I didn‘t know kids my age in Fort Collins and my mom was away on business. I see you taking me down the cookie aisle in King Soopers after my first High School heart break and telling me, it was nothing a box of Devils Food Cake and Ben and Jerry’s wouldn’t fix. Through all of this heartbreak I will remember the warmth you gave and one of the most important and toughest life lessons I will ever have to learn, to enjoy the one’s I love with every capable ounce of my body. Thank you for giving me the gifts you did, and helping me to become the person I have. Thank you for being the best big sister ever, to not only Chelsea but to me as well. You have made the biggest impact on my life, I will never forget you and I will always love you.

Comments and Encouragement: Rhianna, my dear--- It has been two years ince you left us, and yet I often feel you very near. I open my computer each morning and a slide show rolls across my screen. And you are here again---smiling next to a birthday cake, at your graduation party, or just having fun in Alaska with an occasional lemon drop. Suddenly, I see you and Chelsea in your pajamas at one of Grandm's sleep-overs. Yesterday, I opened my sketchbook and your inscribed words and wishes greeted me once more! I miss you so. I will keep tight the memories that hold you close to me until that day that we will be united once again. Your great, great, grandmother wrote these words to all of us. May friendship consecrate these lines, And memory hold them dear, And may you often call to mind The hand that placed them here. The dearest friend on earth must part, The thought with sadness fills my heart But often memory shall renew, The happy hours I spent with you. Here I write a little verse, For you; to look upon, For you to see, and think of me, When I am dead and gone. The time may pass and years may fly, And every Joy decay and die. Though every joyful dream may set, Yet thee I never will forget. Ida Schilling, January 11, 1889

Comments and Encouragement: Our thoughts and hearts have turned to our loss of our first precious grandaughter two years ago. Time has gone quickly, and I know that in God's timing it is but a moment in eternity, but we miss you so much, Rhianna. We are comforted only by the fact that we know how much your 22 years have impacted our lives and made us better people by opening our hearts to the love that you brought us. That love will remain forever. It is another sign to us that God has created each one of us to show love and do our best on this earth until He calls us home, and then and we can be together with him. Jesus promised us that He is the way, the truth, and the life--now and forever. And we believe His words are true, and we know that you are with Him and He is keeping you safe and healed from the cancer which you so bravely endured. We love you always, beautiful girl. You have given us so many precious moments. Thank you, darling Rhianna. We all miss you so much. Grandma and Grandpa Schilling

Comments and Encouragement: Hi, Rhianna! The most recent photos of your family and best friends bring tears to my eyes and heart. My hope is that you always know the love that remains on earth for you as you celebrate your 2nd Christmas in heaven where God's love has been poured out for each of us. Sing praises with the angels, precious one. Every Christmas song reminds me of you---the holy carols and the silly ones like "Jingle Bell Rock" that I remember you dancing to in front of our tree in the living room. You remain as the "most funnest" center of our memories. Your Christmas gift this year is in your name to the new Loveland Boys and Girls Club from Grandpa and I because the organization helped us raise Jacqui in our home this fall, and she reminds us of the sweetness, spirit, liveliness and fun you are to us. We love and miss you so much. Grams and Gramps

Comments and Encouragement: I have also been able to heal through some of the darkness, although I don't think I will ever find a friend that can brighten my life in the way that Rhianna did. I have found so much comfort in seeing how many people love her and were touched by her life. I may have lost my best friend, but I have gained a whole new family.

Comments and Encouragement: Jacqui sat on her living room floor in March, 2008, and wrote this poem as a school assignment. She titled it, "The Effects of Death", and it describes her feelings when she heard of Rhianna's death from colon cancer on April 22, 2007. "Crash! I go numb. I can't breathe. As soon as i heard the news, the feeling of getting stabbed by a knife in the heart and getting a part dear to you ripped out, came slamming on to me. The sweet spring sensations go rushing through my nose. Why? Why in spring and why so young? A flower comes into my head. It's trying to burst through the sharp, cold snow above. Slowly tilting down, it sufficates without seeing the oranges and pinks of sunshine again. As the symphony of sad memories go flying through my head i start to cry, All the tears falling into a river of others. As time passes the river starts flowing down fast and i can't stop it. What to do now? What can I do? Everything is lost in the mists of my memories."

Comments and Encouragement: Dear Brad, Jodi, and Chelsea; and Rosemary and David Lestrud,....As we journey through Easter, Jodi's birthday, the first anniversary of Rhianna's illness, and Rhianna's eternal healing when she went to be with the Lord on April 22, 1007, I cry tears of sadness for you, for her disease, suffering, and the deep loss we all feel. I also smile with the wonderful memories of her life, and I know the resurrection hope that keeps me waiting to see her again in heaven with Jesus. The previous notes this week from Chelsea and Sarah helped me put thoughts into words of love and powerful memories. The promises that Jesus gave are true, and I believe that Rhianna is experiencing His love now and forever. God is with you now to help you get through this first anniversary of her eternal healing. God will take care of you always----to help you and give you hope. Her spirit will always be with us. We love you so much, and every day we love and honor Rhianna's life and her life now with the Lord. Mom and Dad Schilling John 14:19...Jesus said,"After a little while the world will behold Me no more, but you WILL behold Me; because I live, you shall live also.

Comments and Encouragement: Dear Brad, Jodi, and Chelsea, At this season of hope, I trust that God has heard every prayer and knows every pain we have grieved over our great loss of beloved Rhianna. The loss will continue to be painful especially at the happy times of holidays that Rhianna loved. I think that she would want us to continue to celebrate as though she were still with us, but I know that may take a lifetime of loving memories, and strong faith in God's promises to heal all the hurts and tremendous loss. Jesus has been sent to us as our lifeline to heaven, and I beleve that He will restore our broken lives and give us hope and a promise for our future with Him and with Rhianna forever. Her Grandpa Buchanan's death this week is another stepping stone to heaven. God has healed him and healed Rhianna. We love you so much and share your grief and your journey toward healing of our hearts. Mom and Dad (Marlene and Dick) Schilling

Comments and Encouragement: Dearest Schilling and Lestrud families, I am so sorry for the loss of you dear daughter, sister, and grand daughter, Rhianna. You are on my mind so much. I know that this time of year, life in general is and will be particularly difficult for you and all of your families. You all continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Please know that many people are thinking of you as you approach going through this Christmas season. I have trouble finding the right words to say in such tragic circumstances. But then again, I am not sure there are any right or wrong words to say. Rhianna was only with you for such a short time, and yet touched so many lives. I truly enjoyed meeting her as a young woman at Coach Glover's retirement. She was just darling. God bless all of you as you continue to rely on each other and on the strength of God to see you through. Only He can carry your sorrow. Some days it will be an hourly thing, just to make it through the next hour. Other times, it will be daily, just to move through to the next day. But always remember God is with you each and every step of the way. He is standing beside you, just as He always will. Your love and caring for each other is evident in your families. You are blessed with each other, just as you were blessed with Rhianna. May God bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May He hold you in the palm of His hands all the days of your life. And may He give you peace. Love, Margaret, Mike and Ryan

Comments and Encouragement: Dear Brad, Jodi, and Chelsea, We pray that the beautiful memories of precious Rhianna will comfort you as you painfully celebrate her 23rd birthday on September 22, 2007. We feel your hurt and loss so deeply, and we will always feel the sadness of her illness and early death. Rhianna's spirit and soul was so very brave and strong as she faced the reality of her illness and the passing into eternal life with Jesus. God blessed her with an amazing joyful personality, and her optimism and love for family was because of the love and commitment you all had together. Our lives will never be the same without her, but we are so grateful that we had her for 22 years, and that you shared her with us. We live in anticipation and knowledge of God's promises that we will be with her again in God's perfect heaven. We love you. Mom and Dad Schilling, and Rhianna and Chelsea's grandparents

Comments and Encouragement: It is very obvious from your website that your family is full of love, and the outpour from your friends and family is truly amazing. I am so sorry to hear of your daughters passing. I can’t even come close to imagining how that must feel. When I read Rhianna obituary I did not even realize she was your daughter. I was just saddened to see someone so young had passed away. We have a 21 year old daughter, who is very similar to the way you have described Rhianna. You must be so proud of the way your daughters have turned out. I thank you for explaining what happened to Rhianna on your website, because I was very curious to know how this special young lady could of died. We hope that God, and time will eventually help ease your pain. Please know that we are deeply saddened by your loss, and you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Comments and Encouragement: Jodi and Brad, We can't imagine the pain you are going through right now. I don't believe there could be any greater pain than losing a child. We hadn't seen Rhianna since she was a young girl, but it is obvious from all the comments that she was a wonderful young woman and inspired love and friendship wherever she went. We know that she is with God and is no longer suffering, but we will never understand why God took her so soon. We hope that your memories of her spirit and her love and kindness can give you comfort in the sad times ahead and can help to mend the hole that has been left in your heart. Our thoughts are with you.
