I just attended the Veterans Day Services in Jellico. I always known of the great work being done by the honor guard and

A heart-felt thank you to the Campbell County Honor Guard for the Military Honors bestowed on my brother, PFC Claude Leon
Baird, USArmy, Missing, 2nd Taiwan Crisis, at his Rememberance on Oct. 4, 2008 in the Campbell Memorial Gardens. The special
effects of the symbolic POW emerging through the cloud of red smoke to join his comrades is cemented in my mind forever. I'm
sorry I can't remember the name of the Navy Honor Guard who talked with me and told me he was in the Straits with the 7th
Fleet on 01/10/58. He made it very special since I didn't expect to meet someone who served during the 8/23 bombardment of
Kinmen and Matsu. Sometimes life comes full circle.
Here in Michigan, I have seen many Honor Guards perform at graveside services and the Campbell County Honor Guard rates among
the best.
Your website gives Honor to the Veterans
and their families.
