Comments: Your in my thoughts a lot Dianne.... I admire what you're doing and feel so fortunate that I was able to adopt Esther & Marco (my little ponies). They bring me so much happiness and keep me in shape by wanting me to walk them all the time!

Comments: Thank you for all your efforts. I’m trying to be a vegan (vegetarian) and its tough sometimes, but there is absolutely no excuse for those who directly or indirectly commit animal abuse. I am ashamed of my fellow Greek compatriots for treating animals so cruelly sometimes, but I also know that animal brutality exists everywhere. While I believe in social education, to a large extent it is up to each individual to be ethical, and I’m afraid that a lot of people simply do not have it in them to be morally righteous. That’s why it is so imperative and admirable that individuals such as you exist to offset those who would knowingly and purposely harm an animal. I’m not religious, but often wish there really was a heaven in the afterlife just so that selfless people like you could be rewarded for your benevolence here on earth. I will be making a token donation and will seek to adopt once I am capable of doing so. Bless you !!

Comments: We just returned from an extensive trip to Greece visiting Athens and 8 islands including Crete. We were, of course, saddened by the number of stray cats and dogs, but we were heartened by some effort being made to neuter and innoculate many of the animals. We noticed in Iraklion, Crete that the dogs who were so treated wore colored collars. Thank you for your informative web site which has encouraged us learning that there are a number of organizations who are interested in helping these animals. If you have the time and would not mind responding, what would be the best way for us to donate to their cause? Thank you.

Comments: Very good to see people in Canada also try to help strays in Greece. I spend a lot of time reading all the horror stories an looking to the foto's on your site. One becomes almost ashamed to be human. Luckely there are also stories of animals which were saved. I also have a dog from Greece. We adopted Yanoz through a Dutch organisation Mirtos Animal Project. This organisation does its very best to replace Greek dogs and cats in Holland. I wish everyone good luck in saving and helping all the misfortunate animals in Greece!
